Level Up Character Builder Update January

The static character sheet we’ve been talking about in the last couple of updates is coming along well, and we hope to be able to make it available for general use soon. Right now it’s very much in a ‘tweaking’ phase as we iron out wrinkles, and we need to make the back-end (where you fill out the info) more intuitive and easy to use.

Here are some of the tweaks since we first showed you this at the end of last year:

  • Senses added

  • Languages added

  • Death saves added

  • Features section combined into a single area, each indicates its source and its usage limits

  • Equipment weight now allows for 1/2 pound values (decimal values can be entered), sheet now adds up equipment weight, carrying capacity added, equipment has fields for notes and properties

  • Mixed heritages are now possible

  • Layout/alignment tweaks to make the sheet easier to read, saving throws in a red highlighted circle, grey backgrounds changed to blue, headers standardised, shading to various sections to make them stand out from adjacent sections

  • Coins section no longer says gold twice

  • Fatigue & strife now have 7 boxes not 5

  • Skills now only show if you have the skill, and formatted to make them easy to see at a glance

  • Spellcasting, maneuvers, and followers/stronghold sections only appear if there is content

It’s still a work in progress, but it has come along in the last couple of months.
